The worst pain I feel from my fibromyalgia is in my chest. Does anyone else suffer from this ? It is scary and so painful. If anyone has any suggestions I would appreciate it. Thanks !!

Costochondritis is very common with Fibro. Inflammation of the muscles around your ribs. As Cindy said, get it checked out with your Dr. though to make sure it's not Cardiac. I suffer with this a lot, very scary first time it happened x

Jusstac you might have had an infection but Costochondritis is inflammation not an infection. Any thing ending with itis indicates inflammation, such as inflammation of the cartilage around the ribs. Sorry I'm not nit picking but I've been a RGN on a surgical ward for many years lol

I suffer with chest pain quite often. I have gone to the ER several times and they do a carxiac work up and everything comes back negative. I also get alot of pain around the upper portion of my ribs. I don't understand why at all, but I get it so often and I'm still here so I conclude it's another ache and pain thanks to my Fibromyalgia...

I also had Costochondritis after the birth of my 2nd son, one month to be exact. Felt like I was having cardiac arrest or an extremely bad anxiety or panic attack. Was kept in the hospital for days and had to be on diloudid (sp?) For pain. It's an infection in the chest muscle which causes extreme pain when taking a breath. Horrible pain. Thank goodness it only happened that once. I never knew it was a symptom of FM thank you for the info.

Thank you for this! I was out of work for 3 days while my cardiologist did tests and I wore a halter monitor. It was so scary! I had no idea it was part of this puzzle
