Does Anyone Have Bowel Movements While Sleeping And NOT KNOW About It Till Morning When You Wake Up?
I don't know if this is Fibro related or not, but I have bowel movements during my sleep. I don't wake up, I don't feel sensation that it is happening. I don't know it happens till morning when I wake up covered in crap (to put it nicely). This happens quite frequently and is getting to be a big concern obviously. "They" do think I have IBS, but that doesn't explain why this is happening. Bowel cancer runs in my family. I'm a little freaked out. Any comments or suggestions on what may be going… read more
I could only imagine that this is a very difficult issue for you. It could be happening from your meds. I have a sluggish colon and need meds to get it moving, but sometimes my diet helps me along. Everyone is different. I hope you have seen a Gastro - - it's important to get tested and all that fun stuff. It could also be that with the Firbo - the nerves in your colon are not working properly, which may be why you don't feel any sensations during your sleep. I hope things improve for you.
Definitely see a dr, if you lack feeling then I think it is serious enough to see a dr. Wishing you the best of luck and let us know what the results are.
I would seriously seriously ask your doctor to investigate further. I've not had this but not to say others have though but definitely need to check it out to rule out any underlying problems xxx
I do get diarrhea quiet a bit but I always wake TY Jesus but I don't sleep good n never sound!!!!!!! God bless u sweet heart that's horrible! Prayers n hugs to u!
Run don't walk to doctor to rule out anything serious! Once your mind is at ease with a diagnosis you should be able to treat the problem(s). I believe that not knowing is worse than knowing--so go find out what you don't know and go from there. Wishing all the best for you with this problem!!--J
