Has A Change Of Diet Or Eliminating Certain Foods Helped With Symptoms?

I'm trying to understand if foods trigger certain aspects of my flare ups!

On my cleanse I felt so much better so I wonder if my diet is causing my recent flare ups!

Have you tested for gluten allergy? I think the doctor can order a blood test but you must be consuming gluten in order for the tests to work properly. If you have gone gluten free before the test it wont be able to detect it. My IBS (irritable bowel syndrome) is triggered from food intolerances. These are not allergies but rather the bodies inability to digest the foods. Lactose intolerance is a big one for me and I only consume lactose free dairy. Also I am unable to digest Pork and raw vegetables. For the veggie problem I purchase digestive enzymes and take them just before eating raw veggies. It is called Beano and it really works great. I have know idea if food actually triggers Fibro flares but I definitely know it triggers my IBS.

I recently read about food triggers from gluten, artificial sweetners, caffeine, and tomatoes. It is suggested to eliminate one food at a time to see if your symptoms lessen. After two months, reintroduce the food to see if your symptoms return. If they do, then you know to avoid them.

Yes! I cut out sugar products and sweets during the week and my body has been feeling awesome. I also read this book called Eat Right 4 Your Type. It was recommended to me by a few different people and I changed some of the things I was eating based on what it said and it really helped!!

Eliminating artificial sweeteners and carbonated beverages has helped me with fibro symptoms, especially restless legs and cramping.. I have read about the FODMAP diet and work with a woman who follows it. It has helped her with her very bad IBS. I think that will be my next experiment.

I find that a Candida syndrome diet did.....No short chain carbs, and no carbs at all for at least 2 weeks...After the misery, I feel waaaay better...
