My neck crunches , I can also hear it in my skull ! I have osteoarthritis and I'm on the waiting list for surgery this year , I'm having two discs replaced . I've had neck problems for a number of years now , I've tried lots of different things i.e.: Tens machine , acupuncture, cervical nerve block ( this worked well for about 18 months) but the pain and nerve pain has worsened over this last year , I'm also waiting for a scapular nerve block for severe shoulder pain , I take morphine as a last resort. I've just returned to work after 3 months off following a right knee replacement and will be glad once everything is sorted out it's been a long process but I'm getting there ! I use a wheat bag to help ease the pain and only take the morphine if nothing else works , it's trial and error finding what works for you .

Not popping but it does make a crunching noise I was told it's not my bones it's the swollen parts around the area of pain I done stretches everyday for 6 weeks and it made a difference as all pain was in my upper body at 1 point but now mainly lower pain , I can't win lol

Hi, I have neck, shoulder and upper back pain constantly along with creaking and cracking. I use coconut oil and the heating pad three times per day. It helps but of course doesn't completely ease the pain.

I use an electric heating pad that you can mist with a water bottle and it releases steam to ease pain

Occasionally yes (along with other joints) My neck does freak me out though... it's not just a pop, creak or more usually, a squelch, but sometimes a loud and sharp crack... like a high powered rifle report, and often there's an acute but short lived pain too. Worries the hell out of me when it happens.
