Vision Problems?

A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭

Anyone else have vision issues?? Thought it was my eyes but the doc said theyre perfectly healthy so they think it might be an issue with my brain. I'm wondering if anyone else has vision issues because of the fibro?

Members overwhelmingly confirmed experiencing vision problems related to fibromyalgia, despite having healthy eyes according to their doctors, validating the original poster's concern that the issue may be neurological rather than optical. Several members described symptoms including dry and blurry vision that worsens with fatigue throughout the day, rapidly deteriorating eyesight requiring frequent prescription changes, optic migraines, a shaky or weak feeling in the eyes, and visual disturbances like flickering lights. A recurring theme was the relief and validation of discovering that many others in the community share these mysterious and unsettling symptoms, which appear to stem from fibro fog, neurological involvement, and overall exhaustion rather than actual problems with the eyes themselves.

I know exactly what you are feeling. I had that for about a year and then it just stopped. I had eyes checked and All
Ok. It was like my eyes were weak and couldn’t accommodate. They were constantly jumping and so fatigued by night blurry.

I get optic migraines that are sometimes auras to seizures. It's so disturbing to me apparently my eyes are very healthy and it's just neurological.

Yes, my eyes get blurry and fuzzy at times. They also feel shaky but don't shake. Very weird feeling. I haven't gone to the eye doc in a while but in the past my eye sight has always been good. I plan on going soon to see if I should get glasses. Amazing that so many of us have these issues.
