A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭

I slept well last night and at noon I had sudden and profound fatigue. I felt totally exhausted and slept 2 hours. Has this happened to anyone else before?

Members overwhelmingly validated the experience of sudden, profound fatigue despite sleeping well, with many describing it as a hallmark of fibromyalgia often compounded by chronic fatigue syndrome or long COVID. Several members shared that the exhaustion strikes without warning regardless of how much sleep they got the night before, often requiring two-hour naps in the afternoon, and that the unpredictable pattern of good days followed by periods of relentless fatigue can feel maddening. A recurring theme was the frustration of doctors having no answers, the increasing frequency of fatigue episodes with age, and the gentle reminder to be kind to oneself while navigating this debilitating symptom.

I have this a lot. I did not have this as much in the beginning, but the older I get the more it happens

All day every day lmao! No, but seriously like I'll go weeks without symptoms and then that's like my only symptom is that my days going great and then I'll sit down and the next thing I know I wake up like three hours later and that happens like every few days for a couple weeks and I'll stop then I'll happen again then I'll stop then will happen for like a month straight then stop. Basically, that was a super long, winded way of saying totally! And it hits out of nowhere like you don't even know it's gonna happen you don't feel tired, but then you're exhausted out of nowhere.
