Restless Legs Ans Weighted Blankets

A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭
Addlestone, UK

Do weighted blankets help with the restless leg syndrome side of fibromyalgia? Has anyone here tried one, and if so which brand is best?

I've been finding my restless legs getting worse. The sensation is mainly under my knees. It feels like they're on fire but also pins and needles, and the nerves just build until I have to shake my legs. If I don't, the pressure just keeps building till its unbearable, but if I do shake my legs, the whole thing just resets and keeps building up again.

I've… read more

Pain In My Back While Walking

A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭
Tipoerary

Hi all

I've only ever been diagnosed with Fibromyalgia by my GP. I started walking as part of a diet every day for an hour last January (2020). I walk approximately 6km every day but a year on I get pains in my lower back, my legs and the outer edge of my ribs, all up my sides. I have started getting very painful fingers and stiffness. My bloods showed no inflammatory markers so my GP is talking about sending me to a rheumatologist. Does any of this sound familiar to you? Surely a year on… read more

What Supplements Do You Take?

A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭
Radstock, UK

Ive been told by my herbalist that fibro is linked to the herpes simplex virus (she is convinced !) which the NHS say the majority of the UK population has. It lies dormant then breaks out later in life giving fibro like symptoms. My herbalist is treating me with the antimicrobial herb, Barberry, at the moment for it. Been watching some dreadful links from America with scare stories of herpes !!! They can be so over the top. And lots of those cure all remedies where you have to watch some… read more

What Natural Supplements/remedies Do Any Of You Take In Support Of/or Instead Of Prescribrd Medicines?

A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭
Plymouth, UK

Can I please call on your wealth of experience and knowledge when I ask you what natural supplements do you take? I already take magnesium, vit B & evening primrose but I am thinking more about exploring and trying others. I don't know if this is the best approach to take, but I reckon if anyone can/will give me honesty in their answers, it's all of you. Right now I am open to all suggestions about supplements (I shall be exploring therapies another time, fairy steps). Thank you x
