Does Anyone Else Have Fibro Symptoms So Bad It Gives Them Panic Attacks, I Never Use To Have Panic Attacks Until Fibro Struck Me Severely
I always had anxiety but this crap has made my anxiety way worse .
Yes I've had panic attacks and I will never forget my first one. I was convinced it was a heart problem and it was terrifying. Lay in bed awake all night with my arms clutching my chest and just shaking. Went hospital in the morning and was given diazapam to calm me down. Truly an horrendous event. Learn to keep calm and accept it for what it is. Your not going to die. The more you stress on it the worse it will get like a vicious circle. I know it's difficult but try to distract your mind from it by doing a crossword or something to take your mind of it.
Yes I had them but was put on sertraline so mine is stable
Unfortunately yes. Most times I just have to breath through them
Oh goodness I remember my attacks and they were the same as you padster I really thought it was my heart . Was terrifying horrible
Oh Trevor - This was my VERY worst problem!!! I spent yrs. off and on when I absolutely couldn't leave the house!!! Panic attacks are the very worst!!!!!A doctor about 20 years ago put me on Xanax. It WORKED!!! I was free at last!!! I even turned myself in to Bethesda Hospital - I was so afraid I was going to Loose control!!!!!!! I just knew one day I would loose control physically and take off running never to stop - or I would loose control mentally and not know who I was or where I was!!!!!!! The doctors told me" I was the most controlled person they'd ever known, and I'd NEVER loose control!!!" Of course I never did believe them!!! XANAX WORKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It's very hard to stop, and not for sissies!!!!! It helped me when I'd about given up all hope of ever being able to be comfortable away from home!!!! Boy, did I ever hate those panic attacks - so many years!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They started when I was in JHS - I suffered terribly as I had to go to school, and nobody understood!!!! Each night I hated to go to sleep as I knew when I woke up, I'd have to go to school!!!!! TERRORS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! At 85+ I can still remember the fear of going to Jr. High School!!! Luckily when I reached H.S. the panic attacks subsided for a few yrs only to return with a vengeance..(Notice I didn't add any funny faces - there is nothing funny about panic attacks - ever 20 yrs. later!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)
