We’re twins Blue! I’m exactly like you, with the lactose intolerant and no milk. But I can tolerate 🧀 cheese without rennet….and 🍨 ice cream! I also have gastritis and Gerd, so have to watch the fried foods. Also the processed food with palm, safflower, and soybean oils. Gluten is not a problem for me, but white flour foods are. I eat a very good whole-grain wheat bread . Eating meals spaced at least three hours apart, gives time for digestion . Don’t eat sugar and flour together often. I take Gaviscon mint liquid.
Eating protein makes me feel better, and greens, fruits and vegetables. Hope this helps🤗🩷, Victoria

Hi, I tried gluten free for a few months on the advice of a doctor I was seeing at the time but it didn't lessen my symptoms. Now I do find that eating small meals with more protein and veggies gives me more energy. I love carbs and sweets but I have to eat those things minimally or I gain weight and they zap by energy.

I take lactase tablets so I can eat dairy. I don't drink milk or substitutes but I adore brie and Camembert cheeses. I often have a snack of rice crackers and cheese in the evening.

Honestly, it feels like a mutual relationship??? Like I know that food influences how our bodies feel, but at the same time with all the diagnoses we have it feels like quite a lot we avoid eating all together or by the least very picky about what we are capable of eating because nausea hits as well as digestive track issues making it a jerk and a half to even hold food down, let alone gulp the food at all!

Definitely. There are literally hundreds of foods that I can't eat. Gluten is high on my list.
