Might want to check with your GP or even a Neuro. Please be careful of NSAID overuse headaches. I have chronic migraines and headaches and taking over-the-counter pain relief can cause this. https:/… read more

Those Of You Taking Cymbalta...

A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭
Ottawa, ON

Do you ever take NSAIDs like Advil or Aleve with them? Cymbalta is not supposed to be mixed with these types of medications but they are the only thing that helps for my head aches. I'm wondering if they woukd help my other aches and pains too. My husband takes an Aleve every day for knee pain and it works amazing for him. How inconvenient to be on Cymbalta if it means eliminating a good class of pain reliever!

Has Anyone Else Been Diagnosed With Chronic Kidney Disease From The Pain Medications They Take?

A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭
La Crosse, WI

My kidneys were rough every time they've been tested in the past few years, and last year they got so bad my doctor had to refer me to a nephrologist who diagnosed me with Stage 2 CKD. She was confused though, because I'm not diabetic and I have low blood pressure, so how did I end up with such bad… read more

Painkillers?

A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭
Livingston, MT

Ok, so, I've argued with my doctors and researched alternative therapies on the internet and anything else you could probably think of. I can't take Tylenol, because of my liver (I'm on other medications that eat your liver as well). I can't take Advil because of my stomach (IBS/acid reflux/ulcers/etc). And I can't take opioids, because I was on Tramadol for four years and got dependent (it was REAL ugly). I can't take the anti-seizure meds because they make me crazy pants and did nothing to… read more
