TMJ Problems With Fibromyalgia
Isn't this absurd that our teeth ache when all is well with them or without them..
I was hoping to not be on gabapentin forever, now I don't know 😕..thank you Bobbie 3 for getting back to me. Hugs 🫂
I've had jaw surgery many years ago to remove arthritis within the tmj joint. I don't know if that's necessary again or what. I've been under tremendous stress lately and it could be aggravated by clenching my jaws and or grinding my teeth through the night while I sleep. I'm making a doctor appointment.
I've had TMJ for about 15 years. I believe it was one of the first signs of Fibro looking back. My GP at the time gave me muscle relaxants at bed time which did help but I can't remember the brand. My new Dr. gave me 10 mg Flexeril to take but I feel like a space cadet for 24 hours after I take one so I think they are too strong. It can be treated by a Physiotherapist, and mine showed my how to massage the large jaw muscle which goes into spasm.
Absolutely. Your muscles are clenched like a "fight or flight" scenario. I have had my jaw lock. Try a muscle relaxant at night. Low dose as it can effect your vision. Also you can get a mouth guard at the drug store and avoid the cost of a dentist.
Also with your dentures do your teeth ache stilll?
Does Anyone Else Have Jaw Problems. Tightness, Pain, Misaligned When You Try To Close Your Mouth Can't Eat.
Since I Became Ill With Fibro, I Have Been Waking Myself Up Biting My Tongue! Sometimes So Bad That Its Bleeding. Anyone Else Have This???
