Fibro Fog

Does anyone else worry about whether you have fibro fog or is it Alzheimer's? How would you know since the symptoms are the same?

I read somewhere that with fibro fog you ask "where did I leave my car keys?" And with Alzheimer's you forget how to use the car keys. MRI's of FM patients have shown brain atrophy from chronic pain. But it isn't the same as the plaques found in Alzheimer's

It is bad enough knowing you have to write things down to remember, but even worse when your family looks at you as if you have lost your mind. At times I question my own sanity when they swear they had a conversation with me that I have NO recollection of. I wish they knew what it was like, but then I would not wish this on anyone! sigh...

I've forgotten where I put my keys and I've forgotten what to do with the keys sometimes when I get into the car.

I stopped at a red light the other day and my mind took it as a stop sign. I started to pull out, fortunately, I've been doing my best to re-check myself. I realized it was a red light and stopped just short of pulling out into the path a an oncoming semi.

I've done a number of strange or stupid things the last 9 months as my symptoms have gotten worse.

Recognize your weaknesses and do your best to be mindful of them.
