The Longer You Have Fibromyalgia, The Worse It Gets?
I was wondering if the longer you have fibromyalgia, does it get worse, like getting more symptoms? I know mine has gotten worse in the last year.
I was diagnosed 24 years ago. First couple of years really bad. Now I have loved off and have way more good days than bad. I think you figure out a schedule of sleep, drugs, food, activity and a pace that works. You get smarter and do better over time
have had fibro for 14 years plus, the first few years was the worst you soon learn to do what you are able to do and adjust accordingly best thing is to try and keep active nothing too strenuous. Pain medication try and cut it down slowly the medication can make you feel worse especially strong painkillers. I had terrible migraines for two years until I seen a neurologist it was all the pain meds I was on that caused it after 6 months slowly getting off them to a milder dose the pain went away in my head. Trouble with fibro it affects everyone different and every drug you take might work for some but not all.
I don't think fibromyalgia gets worse the longer you have it , I think you learn ways to ease the pain and different ways in which to do things so that actually it becomes slightly easier to deal with. I think my fibromyalgia has stayed pretty much the same, but I also have osteoarthritis which is degenerative , and so gradually gets worse and worse.
For Fibro Fog I take MODAFINIL 200mg and it has made a huge difference for me!
I know for me it has gotten worse but I have cut out my pain meds that were making it so I could function better but I am having a.hard time finding a pain doc in my area that is taking new patients and is even willing to prescribe. I moved away from my pain doc.
