Nail Changes

My thumb nail beds have bluish like stripe it goes above the half moon has anyone else had this ?

Mine are ridged too. Also brittle and always breaking and chipping. I started, along with my whole food vitamins, Hair, Skin and Nails vitamins. It's helped some with the thickness of them and less cracking and breaking. Normally I wouldn't care if my nails broke but I started playing Acoustic Guitar a few years ago and I have a hard time holding on to the pick so I use my thumb and forefinger to strum, and those nails have to have a little growth and thickness in order for it to sound halfway decent.

Yep. I thought I was the only one. When I show it to the Doctors they just shrug it off. Do your hands get cold easy? I live in Wisconsin so for about 6 months out of the year the blue/ purple moon rings intensify.

I notice my nails have been slightly purple this past wk. usually i might get this for a day or 2 not lasting this long.

Any time a tissue turns blue that means a lack of oxygen-if you are pain meds. I would consult your doctor
