Wondering what the success of the procedure is? Lignocaine is also known as Lidocaine & is Local Anaesthetic.

I have had a lot of them especially in my left shoulder. It's no big deal the Dr injects the lidocaine and steroid into joint. It helps for three or four months with the pain. Down side it can make you gain weight.

My pain consultant has been honest and said she doesn't know conclusively why it works for some & not others but it does & has offered it to me in addition to my current pain management routine. I have allergies to the opioids but recently had minor surgery using Lignocaine with no ill effects.

I want to grab each chance of a pain free future (however short lived or hopeful that dream maybe) but have been warned about being a guinea pig. Is that so wrong? Someone had to trial say our Lyrica right?
