The past few times when I have had my time of the month, The fibro has fared up badly. This month seems to really bad, being sick at the same time, and also all the stress that comes with the holidays.

I no longer have to deal with that jolly "girl stuff", but when I did, it was horrible. Not just flares with rhe fibro but excruciating cramps. On some of the fibro boards I used to belong to we had deep discussions about this and other female things.

I have wondered for a long time about hormonal imbalaces being related to fibro. It seems like many women I have talked to have experienced horrible periods, major flares, often early/young hysterectomy...things like that.

I got rid of that baby! My fibro made me bleed until it was a constant affair! One time I got up at a restaurant and blood just gushed down my legs like I was having a baby or something! So I had a hystorectomy. I was having cysts that were bursting every month. icky.

My menstrual cycle was getting really painful and dropping me to my knees a few years ago so I had a total hystorectomy. That was before my back surgeries and before I was diagnosed with fibro. I think I've probably had it since my first car accident in 1991. My neck and shoulders started hurting then...hmm

I have a flare every month. I am barely functional for about 3 days before and a week after! I can't wait for penopause!
