Thankyou i have an appointment next week with the dr. My joints and muscles are very painful. I found steroids really helped but the dr is reluctant to prescribe

@A MyFibroTeam Member, how long have you been on the gabapentin? It took a few months before I really noticed a difference. As I'm sure you know, we all react differently to meds and it's very possible that the gabapentin isn't working for you. maybe talk to your dr about how long you should stay on it before making a decision about its effectiveness.

Cymbalta is a better remedy than lyrica for me. It has a broader spectrum of the symptoms it treats and also lessens the depression (or being tired and uninterested in activites) that very frequently accompany fibro. That depression often comes from being in constant pain or being tired or not living up to your own expectations. It's normal if you have fibro.
