A battle plan for fibromyalgia flare-ups
I just take each day as it comes and thank the Lord for it.Some days are more productive than others, just keep moving if possible.
The most important thing is to listen to your body! If you are tired, then rest or take a nap. Stretch your arms and legs. Drink hot tea. Do anything to make yourself feel better. HUGS
Taking things one day, even one moment at a time does wonders. Try to avoid as much stress and drama as you can. Also trying to find the right balance of rest and activity. I find if I do too much in one day then a couple days later I am paying for it and not just for one day either -- Doing too much in one day means several days of not being able to do much of anything other than letting the dogs outside and making sure Isaiah (10 year old tiny toy poodle) gets his medicine along with making sure I take my medicine as well. We both have to take medicine 4X a day.
i too take each day as it comes try to keep to reoutine as much as possible and try mindfulness
I force myself up and first thing into a warm salt bath...this helps a lot just the movement...laying in one place for me personally makes it worse I find.I rest though as much as I can on flare days but make sure I am moving every half hour or my muscles become more spastic.I use heat pads & Capscain cream when resting ,drink lots of Gatoradye as it helps the muscles.only meds I use are Tylenol & Advil..pharm suggested to use these 2 together fro maximum benefit.Flare days I basically nurture myself with good books, movie etc...and keep mentally telling myself that it will be a better day tomorrow.
