How Many Of You Had Hypoglycemia Before Being Diagnosed With Fibromyaligia?
I was diagnosed with hypoglycemia when I was in high school and so was my oldest daughter. She is 22 and was diagnosed with fibromyaligia last year. That was 3 years after a car accident. I have read that some believe there is a connection between the two. I also know some believe that fibromyaligia can be genetic. Obliviously I am worried about my other daughter developing fibromyaligia too, but she did not have hypoglycemia so that gives me hope.
Yes I did which brought on anxiety attacks. Sometimes thought I was going to pass out. Again my doctors thought I was a nut case, lol.
I believe it was the start of stress related illnesses. Once I got out of the stressful situation I had been in over a long period the anxiety attacks stopped and I no longer had trouble with hypoglycemia. It was years later fibro made its appearance.
I was told i am pre-diabetic. not sure that is the same thing or not, but.. have always been tested for it and dr. were always stumped cause they were sure i was diabetic, but blood tests said no. so am trying to avoid sugar and need to get exercise. been more active, but not the same as exercise.
I'm borderline hypoglycemic...my RA told me that she feels Fibro is "activated" by a traumatic event. She feels that if you carry the ANA gene that the event will activate the illness. I have 3 aunts with either lupus or Fibro, so it makes sense that I have it now too.
Hypoglycemia, that is low blood sugar, correct? My father and my sister both had that. The majority of my family is diabetic though.
I have seen a few articles that say there may be a correlation between hypoglycemia and fibrromyaligia. I know several people who had a car accident or other tramatic event before developing fibromyaligia. In my case it was another event that I believe led to mine.
