My knees hurt when I get up from sitting

I have knee pain too. Mri showed no cartlige left, baker's cyst, and additional swelling. My
doctor gave me a steroid injection in my knee and I used a walker for about 3 weeks. It still feels swollen, and uncomfortable but I can walk normally for most of the day. At night, the pain and stiffness is worse. I think you really have to pace yourself, exercise but not overdue it.

Yes, I have knee pain that makes it difficult to go from sitting to standing, getting up of the floor, walking up stairs or walking long periods. I have had X-rays and MRIs on both. MRIs showed small tears in the cartilage and baker's cysts on both knees. Dr, said it was nothing that could really be repaired, and was very minor. His solution was to go to Physio and build up the muscles around the knee to put less stress on them. I haven't gone yet as I don't have insurance,
