Eczema

A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭

Has anyone else developed eczema? I do hydrotherapy twice a week and am in my hot tub every day I'm not in a pool. I think the excess water has dried my skin out. I'm researching remedies. Someone suggested borage oil. I itch!

Zyrtec works Marvelously! The Generic at Dollar Tree is exactly the same. Oatmeal washes like Aveeno are quite soothing. Alpha Keri Oil is nice to keep moisture in. Cold compresses are helpful when there's a flare up.

Ok, here's the deal. Eczema is a part of life with me .Eucerin cream and lotion is really good for really itching and dry skin. However, getting to the root of the cause is even better. If your skin is drying out, you most likely are dehydrated and vitamin deficiencies are an issue. I personally suffered from a recent bout of vitamin D3 deficit in my diet. If it were me, I would have my doctor do the blood work for determining vitamin deficiencies in my blood. Then I would get a referral to a good dermatologist in your area. In the mean time, keep drinking water and pushing fluids. This will assure that you are well hydrated. Hope this helps.
