Can You Get Worse Pain In One Place?

A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭

Hi! Just wondered if it is common to get bad stabbing and cramping mostly in the legs? My arms are weak and muscles hurt when lifting them above my shoulders which ache but apart from some migraines, it is worst in my legs all the time.

I do have neuropathy in my feet going up to about mid calf. I found that out about a year ago but, guess I didn't think that would cause the intense pain all the way up past my knees. Also, it is tingling in my hands and sudden intermittent numbness in my arms that I am going to the neurologist for and he has told me it is either a compressed disc, carpal tunnel or peripheral neuropathy in my hands and arms. If not one thing it is another!

I have pain from my head to my toes but I can absolutely say that my pain is worse from about 1 inch above my knees to my ankles. My right arm was bothering me like a bad toothache and I was weak in the hand. I complained about it for 4 months to my PCP and she kept blowing it off. My neurologist ordered a EMG and low and behold I have peripheral neuropathy in both my lower legs, carpal tunnel in both my hands and I have an ulnar nerve impingement. I hanged my PCP and love my new PCP. She is awesome. So have them do an EMG.

I have the same question. My legs hurt terribly from and including my knees all the way to my ankles. Not much will relieve the pain except tramadol, which I have had to start taking every day if I don't want to be in terrible pain all day.. Also, my left arm hurts on the upper part if I lift it over my head or if I try to lift something. I have mentioned to my doctor about my calves hurting so much and she said that it wasn't from the fibro but, right now i am seeing a neurologist for different symptoms, but he says it could be the fibro. So who knows for sure, if you find out let me know.
