Finding Someone While Having Fibro

A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭

For the single people out there, do you try to date and find your special someone? I just can't see why anyone would go out with me and want a relationship when I have fibro and everything it brings. How do you handle that and does anyone else feel this way?

It is true that he will find you. Mine found me when I didn't even want anything to do with men because of my ex husband. I didn't see it coming, we worked together for 2 years and would talk a lot because of the work. I had no idea he liked me until I gave notice to move to another company. He asked me to go to a send off dinner. Well we ended up talking until the restaurant closed and have been dating ever since. We are there for each other. We keep each other from going off the deep end. We've both had bad marriages so we know what not to do LOL we listen without judgment and that is the most important. Anyway there is someone for everyone.

It still comes down to who you are as a person. A person who cares about "YOU", will take you as you are. Don't be so hard on yourselves.

that's a good question... hehehehee... I don't have it down yet .. but I did have a best friend who was a male.. he's gotten married and so happy for him.. as for not having anything to offer.. I don't agree with that.. I am very creative, hard worker, and I love the Lord.. I have fibro.. but for me it's been my past to hold me back not fibro.. folks thought I would marry my best friend but I knew he wasn't strong enough.. if I can put my thumb on a man.. that's not the one for me.. :) .. So till then I will continue to identify as the daughter of God instead of my past... if we don't believe we're good enough nobody else will believe we're good enough.. that's my two cents ladies..

If you wanted to date and/or be married before Fibro, then keep wanting it. Don't let Fibro win! Love is worth it.

I'm married and Angela, I still feel that way. Sometimes I feel as if I'm putting to much on my husband. So, I would have to say. If anything happens to our relationship, I don't think that I would. I don't know what everyone else's symptoms are but I just wouldn't be able to do it. But @A MyFibroTeam Member we can only tell you what we would do. If you feel like dating, then live life. Best wishes and love. Gentle hugs and Prayers. Sincerely Angela Chapman
