All of my muscles feel like they are going to break, everything is so tight. Cant get comfortable, cant seem to ease the pain. Does anyone know how to ease this?

Mild stretching helps. My dr put me on a mild muscle relaxer which helped ALOT. I also try to get a massage when i have the extra $.

hot bath or shower and a good massage always works for me. Unfortunatly temporarly (a couple of days) but it eases the pain and I can breath again.

I agree with everyone else's posts but I also use a self-hypnosis relaxation tape. Sometimes that helps me get to sleep.

I have massage from my osteopath shes very gentle and I have pain a few painfree days afterwards, but then it starts again, so realy you would need weekly massages but its expensive so I just have to save up before my next session, has anyone had physiotherapy for fibro? Im still waiting to hear from the nhs, I know they have a 6 month backlog,

I go between ice and heat. Sometimes it helps, but only temporarily. I've heard massage is great, but you have to have someone that is familiar with FM. I've not tried massage, but I know they would have to be gentle because even light pressure on my tight muscles can be really painful.
