Disc Pain
Do any of you fibro warriers also suffer degrentive disc or bulding disc? Mine are so bad I am having to get injections. Hard enough having fibro but now this. Sorry I'm having a small pitty party over here 😢sometimes its just all overwhelming .
I totally agree with the answers about the pity party. Sometimes the only thing that will help is just to get it out of your system! Most people just don't get it, unless you are someone who has been through it yourself. My mom was always my best supporter! When she passed away a couple of years ago, I wished I could have passed away too! She was also my very best friend! W r had been through so much together. I had a very bad experience with a"quack " the first time I ever saw a doctor for my neck problem. He told my mom that it was "all in my head " and I needed to go home and take some Valium and it wouldn't hurt my mom to take a few too. Needless to say, my parents almost never got me back to another doctor. When they finally did, the specialist told us that I had degenerative disc disease and that particular doctor was no longer with them! It had also progressed to the point that nothing but surgery would be able to correct the problem. So, don't give up. If you're not satisfied with your first doctor's opinion, it's your right to get a second opinion. Don't settle. Explore the possibilities and options. You're the one who has to live with the pain! Hang in there and gentle hugs to all my friends who live with fibromyalgia and DAD daily!
I feel your pain sweety. I have several bulging discs.I get the shots and in about a week I feel some relief.
I have 2 bulging discs in lower back. Had a few series of shots but they stopped working. Had nerve ablation in March. It took 8 weeks to fully take effect but 95 % pain free there. Still have back and hip pain but that is fibro. Hate to see you both with such critical back issues. They are worse than fibro and even trigger flares. Hugs and prayers for both of you. Xoxo
Sorry you're having such a hard time Heather. But I can surely sympathize with you on this one. I have had degenerative disc disease since I was 14. I've had three cervical surgeries with one resulting in staph infection. I've had C-3 through C-7 operated on and also had low back surgery. I ran the gamut of treatments, including nerve blocks. But they finally got to the point of worrying that I was getting to much cortisone. But last July I had a implant in my spine and it's helped tremendously. I have said the same thing to myself just recently. It seems like you get one thing under control and then something else starts. I just went to the doctor today for severe bladder isues and because of having to take medication for so many years, I'm also having liver issues. But you just have to keep reminding yourself that each day God gives us is another blessing. My friend, I'm sending you a special hug! Hang in there and I'm here if you ever need to talk.
Heather. They helped me a lot
