Untraditional Treatment For FMS

A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭

Most people on the site are taking Lyrica. Cymbalta or some other one-pill-wonder cure. I am wondering if anyone has been on the well researched antibiotic/ antiviral protocol that has brought me back to a life that is worth living. This was the protocol before the "wonder drugs" were invented and before fibro had a diagnostic code. I believe those drugs entered the market as a result of the appointment of the code.

Have you ever taken
Acyclovir 800mg
Amoxicillin 500mg
Ketoconazole 200mg

Darn genes!! I got my fibro after donating a kidney to my sister. The antivirals took away the flu like symptoms I had so badly for four years. If it only fixes that part of the disease, I will take it!!! lol

@A MyFibroTeam Member I am on a regimen that seems like a lot for the average person but it works. I have supplements prescribed too. I too take meds for my bipolar, depression, and anxiety. I know that feeling of not feeling human without them. My doctors are very careful to not prescribe anything that interacts with each other. I may have to get on a low dose of adhd meds because my concentration and memory is awful from fibro and I am forgetful.

I stopped the meds in 2014 because I could go longer and longer periods of time without symptoms when I was off the meds. I was alternating the different kinds of antivirals, depending on the cost and my insurance. I am confident that I will not have to go back on that protocol again. Now I manage with rest and diet. I do still take my bi-polar meds. I'm not human without them.

I saw Dr Pridgen 4 weeks ago and started the Famvir/ Celebrex combo and OMG I think I found the cure! I feel so much better already and it takes about 14-16 weeks to work. Dr Pridgen saved my life

I know I keep saying this, but it is worth trying EHT at least for one month. A dear friend of mine is a behavior therapist with autistic and ADHA kids. She recommends it and the parents say that it works. I am using it to improve my focus. You can see the video about how it works in the brain on my Facebook page AtPeaceWithFibro
