Relook at yer meds because maybe there would be similar products which do the same job and not cause flushes....however I still get them but not as much that I was beforehand.

Yes! It started last year. I went to my primary dr who said I was having an allergic reaction. After changing many things..makeup, facial wash, laundry detergent...I decided to see my rheumatologist who immediately said it was fibro. It's caused by the nerves in our skin being so stimulated all the time. He says it's called phantom itching. And it definitely itches right before a major flare!

yes and saw a dermatologist who said it was vascular, yet everyone else thinks it's skin lupus, going for a second appointment with another dermatologist on Monday. I look sun brunt when it happens, on my upper arms, chest, neck and face. Take pictures of it to show you doctor. Does it appears then go within an hour or so? mine does. Keep a record of it mine has got a lot worse then when it first started. I was feeling cold but had a temp. I also seem to react to strip lighting x

The buttetfly rash is one of the signs of Lupus. Fibromyalgia is often misdiagnosised as Lupus. Check with your doctor there are test that can be done.to determine if it is Lupus.

I had the blood test for lupus before fibro was even mentioned. Which came back clear but was told by my rheumatologist that the blood test won't diagnose skin lupus that has to be done by skin biopsy which was why I was sent to dermatology but they wouldn't do the skin biopsy. Mine doesn't have any lumps either just bright red. I used an infrared thermometer and mine gets 4oC hotter when the rash appears
