PLMD Or RLS
Does anyone have either PLMD or RLS?
If so any tips for coping
I have PLMD and can't get a decent nights sleep
Ask your doctor for amitriptylene, I haven't slept this good in years. A friend told me to mention it so I started on one a night then my new rheumatologist raised it to five a night and it is a godsend!!!
Magnilife and Hylands brands are the 2 most commonly used..CVS, Healthfood stores also, some of the the large Drugstores carry these also, cost $9 for 50 , $14 for 100. Incidentally, I quit all caffineated products and now need nothing for sleep...Like 7-10 hrs/ night. No leg or other movements. Also do not eat any foods I am allergic to (milk, wheat, corn, soy beef etc.). I take only acetaminophen for the vague low back pain 1-2x/wk. and that's all I need. My only medication for FM &CFS is guaifenisin cheap and OTC from MD in SF who prescribes the Dr, St. Albans protocol.
I had the same problem, nothing really worked. Then I saw a homeopathic product at the drugstore CVS. Tiny white tablets, not patent medicine...just simple chemical molecules for specific problems. They are cheap compared to reg pills and they work without any side effects. You have to take them more frequently, but way worth it. I am a family nurse practitioner and I use these with patients also, esp. when nothing else works. I have a homeopathic practitioner friend who only uses these for his patients, and he is really busy. these products have been around for more than 300yrs. I'm surprised that no one else has spoken of them.
Periodic limb movement disorder and restless leg syndrome
Can you tell us the name of these?
