Savella

Wondering if anyone else has suffered huge side effects in addition to deep depression?
I have, and it was only at 25mg.
Insomnia
Restless Leg Syndrome
Headache
Nausea
Vomiting
Night sweats
Dry mouth
These are the symptoms I had, and yet I wasn't being taken off of it by pain management, but my surgeon strongly advised it. Check those side effect pamphlets, and research warriors

It's all pot luck. None of them helped me so I'm not taking any of them. The side effects that come with them are not very good so if they aren't working like you want them too go off them.

I was on Butrans patch, when they weren't working, even the highest dose, I was switched to Belbuca, which is a med you put on the inside cheek and let it dissipate, the dose is every 12hrs. Very VERY powerful drug, together with the Savella, they gave me the side effects I'm still suffering from. I have been diagnosed with Medication induced Anorexia and malnutrition. I no longer take those meds!

I wouldn't continue it if I were you! I was on it in conjunction with my other medications which were A LOT! And I went into a serotonin syndrome severely. I almost died my parents didn't know if I was going to come back to them. I forgot how to walk talk eat. I had a feeding tube put in my stomach and was in the hospital for 42 days. And even when I came home last Christmas my parents had to set up my bed up in the middle of the living room to take care of me with a home health care nurse and the feeding tube still in my stomach with the nurse showing them how to put the food in the feeding tube. And it took me from December 23rd till the summer before I was completely back and walking talking eating again. I basically had to reteach myself how to do everything. Please be careful because mine started with all of those symptoms. Is it restlessleg or muscle twitches? We're your legs shaking?

I stopped the Savella, as suggested by my surgeon, and wow, the clarity I have is unbelievable! So glad I took his suggestion, and got off that medication. It has more side effects than remedy for me. My sleep pattern is still messed up, but I now know that Savella was a culprit in what I've gone through in recent months. I'm starting from the bottom again, but this time I'm researching EVERY medication that's suggested, before usage. I'm still sporting the feeding tube, but I'm also on the mend.

Thank you Danielle! I spoke with my Psychiatrist last night, and he's also pleased that I'm off the Savella. Tomorrow I'll be getting a swab done in my mouth so it can be determined what's best for me. Sadly, I have to wait to have any sort of med for pain, depression or anxiety until results are in. I'm making sure to stay warm, stretched as much as possible and continuing to heal from everything that's been happening. šŸ™šŸ»šŸ’–
