Employment?
How do you cope with fibromyalgia and having a job? Are you employed? Do you receive disability? If yes, is it for fibromyalgia or for other disability. Do you work from home? I'm sorry it's a lot of questions but This has been my major problem lately.
I was recently approved for SS disability for my Fibro, Arthritis, Depression and Anxiety.
I work 40 hours a week. I leave the house at 7:00 am and come back at 5:30 pm, everyday. I find it hard. I don't have the energy to do house chores. My boyfriend and kids are really understanding.
I have been a home maker, wife, Mom to two wonderful full grown kids now, I took an early
retirement when my daughter was born , well she was close to 18 months old. But, that was due to stress, panic and Anxiety and Depression. As years have passed I would work part time jobs. But I can tell you this, I went before a Judge last year to try to get Disability... I was told my Husband makes to much money, and for me to receive disability, I would have to leave him, divorce him and live in a box.
I am in awe of anyone who is able to carry on any semblance of a normal life while dealing with FMS. So many of you are young parents or students and holding down a job as well. I'm 67, own my own biz, but have turned the day-to-day op over to my husband and sister. I love my biz and thank God for the 20 yrs we've had running our b and b. Don't know what I would have done if FMS had hit me when I was a single mother of 3 who worked 2-3 jobs to make ends meet! You are heroes!! Hugs and prayers!
How long did you have to fight for it?
