Inner Elbow Pain, Not The Joint, Possibly Tendon?
Hi,
This sounds weird, but I have inner elbow pain on my non dominant arm. It's when I flex or use it for lifting, it's screams at me. Since it's my non dominant, left arm, I'm not sure what I could have done. It's like the tendon from my upper to lower section is wrecked, but again, I'm not sure how. Any thoughts?
Gentle hugs xx
@A MyFibroTeam Member thank you. Humour keeps me going though this, and all the better if others laugh too ๐ I can imagine you finally at the hospital, "Exactly where is the pain?" Errrm "it's here somewhere, it was here, yesterday, honestly!" I've had the same. I am not in anyway, making fun of your horrible pain, just the weird and wonderful situations we find ourselves in. So glad that pain went. I wish you the best weekend possible ๐ธ
Love your sence of humor Lorraine๐. I can relate to the problem tho. For 8 weeks exactly,i had problems with my knee. I couldn't stand on it and walking was an absolute no. So my dog was suffering too. Anyway this was before I was diagnosed. So I think I'm dying of some strange bone disease. Finally after 8 weeks I decided, enough is enough I'm going to the hospital to get some exists done. Well that day it went away! No kidding, the pain just went away as quickly as it came. So I guess I'm trying to tell you is that these things come and go all the time. Hopefully yours will go soon too. Meanwhile hang in there with your other arm.
Hi, I had something similar. I think its partly from the shoulder and/or the nerves, not actually any damage to the elbow itself. I kept getting excruciating pain from wrist to shoulder if I pulled to open a door, (for about 6 months) now it's gone. Wrap up and use a warm pain gel, to see if it settles. I hope the discomfort eases soon, and you can get back to your cartwheels! Having a silly moment ๐
Sounds like a sprain/strain. I've been doing them myself for years just doing average everyday stuff that usually doesn't result in harm (and once to a tendon in my left foot/ankle that is still occasionally bugging me 7 years on... likely because I didn't give it time to heal and kept aggravating it)
You can do the same thing a hundred times and then just once do it slightly differently... literally by half a centimetre of angle or flexion and pow!... you wake up the next day wondering where the truck that hit you came from...
Give it rest, pain relief/gel etc and either heat or cold therapy (whichever works best, everybody's different) and certainly a few days to start healing.
before you pay for anything like that, there are several books available that are cheaper and teach you how to make your own choices. Start with Dr Andrew Weil's website. He was the first to tout the anti-inflammatory diet (and least the first to publish). He has a website with information about anti-inflammatory foods, vitamins, and other helpful stuff. There is also information and research to support both the ketogenic diet and intermittent fasting to be helpful in treating symptoms of FM and other conditions. But I'd start with Dr. Weil and work your way into a more beneficial diet.
