The Holidays
Merry Christmas Everyone. Happy holidays too! Remember to take it slow.
Does anyone else have a tendency to overdue it during this time?
WOW! I thought you were going to say 600 pecans. To answer your question I always pay dearly when I overdo. I had to let go of many Christmas tradition cooking. I also get help from my adult kids, sisters and nieces. They all pitch in with food And I have one slightly OCD sister who packs, wraps leftovers and does some of the general cleanup. She's not OCD, just well organized. One year I rarely left the couch for 2 weeks I was in so much pain. I made sure perishables were put away. Then didn't move except for necessities.
Give yourself frequent breaks and maybe not cook as many treats.
@A MyFibroTeam Member, Lucky you I have to buy my pecans. And today I'm baking one pecan pie and I hope I don't burn it..I'm i. A small appartment with a small stove temp. Is hard to control. But I love to bake so I'll be at it and I just wish I could see your beautiful pecan tree, here it's minus 7 degrees lots of snow no fruits on trees..Wishing you a great Holiday ..Montreal, Canada..where are you? 🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄
Every day!! I push myself hard, and pay for it daily!
Especially during this season, I am cooking a lot more. Pecans are falling and I have a small orchard, so I'm outside in the cold picking up pecans. To date over 600 pounds!!
Yes, all the time... or guilty when I can't help out... but those that REALLYknow me will understand and love me anyway. Merry Christmas 🎄
True to my word this year I managed the holidays but downsizing expectations and commitments. It was a great holiday with my children and 1 year old grandson.
