Trigger Point Injections. What Are Your Experiences?

A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭

I'm having trigger point injections done in about 2 weeks. Along my spine and in my hips. The shots should last about 1 or 2 months. What are your personal experiences with these like?

I have had trigger point shots now for 3 years 30 shots (neck, shoulder, and back) every 3 to 4 weeks. I believe I had problems for the first few times but once we discovered I couldn't take to much of the steroids we started using a plant based med called Serapen made from the Venus flytrap plant. I could do those shots. I know they worked because the pain got better it took about a year before I stopped taking the shots for a couple of months and I realized that more of the pain was back. I have had to be off those shots now for almost a year now and can barely move my neck and shoulder's . Wishing I could find another doctor who did these shots.

My insurance at this time won't cover injections but had them in the past and they worked but really amped me up I feel they used too much steroids. 😉

I'm doing kind of the same thing now. I get tigger point shots and if they work I get those nervous burned. They help me for the most part. First of the yr I'm going to be smoking pot and getting shots. I think that will really help me
