Cymbalta Withdrawal

A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭
Austin, TX

I am really wanting to come down off cymbalta. I don't want to put even one more pill into my body. I didn't even take it today (bad idea, I know) I honestly did not feel any changes in my pain, I just felt more awake and alert. I have been on this for about 2 yrs now and I am on 60mg. Anyone who stopped it, how long did it take for withdrawal to kick in?

Iit takes maybe 4-5 days without the med to start feeling sick from withdrawls, then its down hill from there. Instead of just stopping it n running the risk of serious withdrawls, u should ween yourself off. Cut the amount u take in 1/2. If u take it twice a day now start taking it once a day for a week then every other day for a week. If u takr it once a day then start taking it every other day. I dont take cymbalta, but I have taken meds for a period of time n have suddenly stopped . Withfrawls r nothing to mess with, they can make u seriously sick n even suicidal. U should contact ur dr n he can tell u how to ween off.
