What Testing Was Dont To Diagnose You?
I was dignosed by a family dr that was also a pain specialist. He ran blood test for your normal.check ups. Mris' to see if it was anything else cuasing pain and tingles and numbness and migrines. Nothing was really conclusive.
And the trigger point tests. And some random balance tests.
Then said ya. You probally do have FM.
This was the first set of tests.
There is no test for fibro- they just run tests to eliminate other causes
I've had a bunch of tests over the last two years before I was told I have Spinal Osteoarthritis, after getting told AO (by a Neurologist) I was like alright finally an answer, now for treatment. Ya no. 5 months of stuff and the pain was worse and other things were still going on, so told my GP I wanted a referral to a rheumatologist The only test he did was the pressure point one, two hours later with my husband and his serice dog in the room he told us that I have Fibro.
The tests I'd had before seeing him, had included an MRI (that was inconclusive), multip X-rays of my spine and hips (that showed the decompression) plus had nurve conductivity tests (came up normal). I have by mnthly blood work dun, but it was never for finding out what was wrong it was part of my general diabetic care, and I have a two full pannels dun every 6 months when it comes to what is tested and its the lot, vitamin levels, mineral levels, thyrpod, etc and its all been normal.
Im wondering if i see a dr again. Not to tell them results of other test to not influence there opions. Good idea?
Ya i hear u. My original family dr i saw the other day kinda made fun of the tigger point test thing.
I was sent to 2 neurologist for never test but they didnt do them. Which pissed me off.
