What Symptoms Do You Have With A Flare?

A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭

It seems like I have been in a flare for over six weeks and at least one time a week I am in so much pain I get violently sick. It seems like my body rejects anything I eat or drink I get cyclic vomiting I have liquid zofran and levsin to stop it but it doesn't. I know this is tearing up my insides I have lost 12 lbs in 2 months from being so sick. Am I the only one who has this issue. Any suggestions would be awesome

Do you have anything else besides fibro? I have never vomited with my fibro unless I have a migraine.
My flare up symptoms are: tightening of all muscles. Headaches or migraine. Bad Pain in neck and back. Sick feeling under the skin. Sensitive skin. Major fatigue. Emotional. Nausea.

It could be a reaction from our medication combination. With flare I have deep burning pain everywhere and trouble walking. I get costochondritis (inflammation of the muscles between the rib cage). I get headaches and nausea and can't sleep. I cry a lot from the increased chronic pain. It would also be good to have blood work done if you haven't had a physical in a while. I have blood work once a year to check my thyroid and the inflammation markers. Also, there are some wicked flu bugs going around - which is why we need to boost our immune system. You have to be careful with dehydration that can cause your potassium to drop and cause fever. Please take care of yourself and try to get something down - mostly fluids. Also, a histamine rebound can cause these symptoms so if you are taking anything with histamine you could have issues that way.

I found out I was having difficulty with one of my meds and I was just recently diagnosed with psoriatic arthritis on top of fibro.

I cannot even explain how bad my flares have been lately. But I get so nauseated all the time. I finally bought some ginger lemon tea I found at Walmart and that has really helped more than any medicine.
