Does Any One Feel Like They Have Gained More Ailments Simce Being Diagnosed With Fibro?

If you have gained more ailments since you have been diagnosed with fibro will you share your story please?
Ex: Since being diagnosed with fibro I have arthritis in my neck, back and knees and it makes it hard to tell what pain is coming from what. I am on so many medications for other diagnosis as well and I would like to get off of most of it and even though the pain meds barely take the edge off of the pain it's hard to do without it.

I'm the opposite way round to you ,as I was diagnosed with arthritis first and then a couple of years later diagnosed with fibromyalgia.i too have trouble deciding which is causing the pain or is it both? When I was diagnosed they told me that arthritis and fibromyalgia are not connected to one another but now I have found information suggesting that they are connected to one another.

Hi there. I am a 51 year old woman. I have had arthritis for 12 years now, fibromyalgia for 11 years now, digestive issues, sciatica, and in November of 2016 got diagnosed with some osteoporosis. I am also going through menopause. I have a lot of problems with neck and head and my lower back.

Yes indeed because fibro consists of many symptoms! It's like it is corporate pain!

I have started to get off the medications myself. They I feel are making me more sick. I am focusing on natural stuff.

I have had chronic back pain since I was 17 years old, but I typically never saw a doctor for it, I had mentioned it and all they ever said was take lots of ibuprofen. And that's what I've always done. I found relief in going to Chiropractors and having my friends or daughter give me a massage and finally just extra sleep and hot baths worked. That's how it started. Then, I'm not sure when it happened, I started feeling more and more fatigue, but just kept on. Years later, I could no longer go throughout the day without pain somewhere. I mean the pain that sends you to your bed. Then just about two years ago I started having pain everywhere especially in the morning and evening. So then I was diagnosed with a slew of things having to do with pain and fibromyalgia too. SO, I really cannot say I was diagnosed with anything else past this. I was diagnosed all in the matter of seeing a Rheumatologist who my doctor referred me to because she thought I probably had it, also went the same month to neurosurgeon and had x-rays and MRI done. So then find out I also have a lot going on there too. I'm sorry I can't answer the question about afterwards, it may be possible I have more going on also, but I have to have neck surgery done next month before anyone will even think about diagnosing anything further. But it is a great question and I will be looking to see what other people say. :) Hugs
