@Aimes- that's just a blog from a person I mentioned above. She just made that up herself- it doesn't exist in the medical community at all💕

@A MyFibroTeam Member I'm sorry your doctor has misinformed you. Rating your pain level is not a stage. A stage in a disease, illness relates to the progression of the disease, illness.
Stage 1 is when you first contract the disease, illness. Stage 4 the disease has progressed through the other stages and is terminal, your life expectancy is not long. Fibromayalgia has flares, sufferes and medical professionals usually describe this.
I understand there a different levels of pain experienced, mild moderate and severe This is not a disease progression, which is what stages entails. These are pain levels people experience with fibro.

There are no stages in the medical community. The only time you will find stages is from a girl's personal blog on the internet that she made up. I don't believe there are even mild, moderate or severe differences either in the medical world♥️

My understanding is fibro does not advannce and have stages like a disease, its more a condition, reaction of your body. Fibro definitely has flares where you have intensified symptoms. This is caused by a trigger. Triggers can be different for each persons. Hope this helps. ☺

As far as I know, there r no defined stages. There is a spectrum according to my rheumatologist. I seem to have moved along it, but it's hard know. I'm not the most severe, or the most mild. If measured on a scale, I might say that I have gone from an overall 7 out of 10 3 years ago to a 10 after surgery last year. Now I might be more like a 5. Pretty functional, but must be very careful not to do too much, and vigilant in self care.
