I usually don't like to draw attention to myself or burden others with my issues, The reason I am having more yucky days is because I have been dizzy the last month and finally went to the doctor when it became a problem when the room started to spin. It ends up I have vertigo. The reason I a writing this to post is because I never had it before and know nothing about it. Can anyone give me any suggestions what I am supposed to do for something like Vertigo? How long it lasts, can I go out… read more

Either ur doctor can give you something or you can go to the drug store n ask for medication for motion sickness. I was having bad vertigo couldn't drive or walk. I found putting my head between my knees helps a lot. But definitely get motion sickness meds. It should definitely help stop the spinning n dizziness. Best of luck 💜

I have had vertigo for a few years now. I also have tinnitus which I also think they are connected. There is no cure but I was told that "gravol" will help with vertigo (i.e. motion sickness), but of course then you are groggy from the gravol. I am dizzy most of the time, walk sideways quite a bit, and occasional nauseau depending on the day. I believe it is also all part of the signals from the brain, like fibro. Hope this is helpful. Sorry not much good news for you, so far. We can only hope they will come up with something. HUGS.

@AM41244-Vertigo - I had it so bad years back that I had to be hospitalized with it. My Dr. gave me a list of the things that could bring it on. Anything salty, i.e. potato chips, ham, hat dogs, etc.

Rest is about all you can really do for it. There was nothing then, perhaps now with time someone has come up with a way to heal it. It definitely is an inner ear problem.

Sure hope you overcome it soon. Call your local hospital and ask for the Dieit Dept. see if they have a Diet printed for it. Or - -Google - Vertigo.

It is also diet related.

It is a side-effect of Fibromyalgia too. It is amazing all the things that Fibro can bring on:

just by you answering was helpful shows you care. I just wanted to hear what others did for it. It is a pain in the butt. I am just waiting to wake up and say its gone. The dizziness is what is getting to me. Now I have to change my routine bc of this. Getting up earlier, etc so I don't miss appointments. For now i won't drive until I get used to how I feel. Just to be safe. Thanks again. Feel well yourself. Unfort. all our symptoms with Fibro are connected that is true....
