Anyone ever get a really prominent but dull achey kind of pain in their upper arm?
Ive got it in my right arm and its agony, so uncomfortable too. No idea what to do as I can't swallow tablets so no painkillers :/

Yes. I've had plenty of this kind of pain over the long years.

It could be muscle or tendon pain in the arm. However, it can be more complicated.
For instance you can be having back pain or shoulder pain without even realising it and this pain is then 'referring' pain into the arm.

So sometimes I'll get this pain in my upper arm and find it's actually referred pain from another area, like my neck and shoulder.

All the muscles and tendons are joined. There are two tendons in the upper arm, tendon pain can be very painful...I often get pain in the tendons and it can be excruciating. So you can tell the difference between tendon and muscle pain quite easily.

There is also a nerve in the upper arm so if the pain is causing pain in this it can be bad.

If it continues go to see the doctor. It's always best to have these things checked out. What I can tell you that it's something that I've always had. But that doesn't mean it's the same.

One can never be completely sure so it's always best to have it checked if does not go.

I hope it eases soon.

Love and hugs

Probably not actually your arm, but shoulder? Nerve impingement.
