Have You Found Depression To Become More Severe After Coming Off Medications Like Lyrica Or Cymbalta?

I have given @Cymbalta a shot for roughly 2 months, but due to some side effects my medical team all agreed that this was not a wise move to continue use. I have been off the medication for a few weeks now (weened off properly), but I am noticing depression has been creeping up on my heavily, but it is seriously uncommon for me to have bouts like this.

Has anyone had similar issue with this? I am fairly surprised to see how intense some of it has been feeling, and really hope this passes… read more

I'm getting ready to come off Lyrica going to Gabapentin. I came off of Lyrica once on my own cold turkey and definitely had worsened depression

@A MyFibroTeam Member My doctor wrote new scripts to lower the dosage to start the step down, and then we went to breaking the lowest dosage capsules down and only take a small bead count from the pill for a few weeks

How did you wean? If you did not wean properly you could be having withdrawals

I know when I've come off meds that have withdrawal my depression is. As far as the ones you've listed I haven't tried.

I did not do well with either Cymbalta or Lyrica. Lyrica made me want to die. Check with your doctor for a better choice. Zoloft does not bother me, it makes me feel more energetic as well.
