Thank you
Most places give you a back to work interview and they should explain the process they use you should also try and find out your employment rights with a disability I'm sure you will find some info on line good luck hope it works out for you x
@A MyFibroTeam Member if you are union talk to your representative. If not talk to your unemployment representative. They should be able to answer your questions.
In USA we have the family medical leave act which helps you not get repromanded for being absent. If you have this they can fire you but you can draw unemployment because you were covered by fmla..
Im sorry to be the barer of bad news but they can sack you. The DDA only states employers need to make reasonable adjustments and its up to the employer what that us but uts nurmally specialist equiptment if occupational health says you need some and increased instamces of absence. When you return to work they should give you a return to work and give you the absence policey. The nirm is usually three instances or more than 7 days abscence over a year. That would usually lead to a level obe meeting but you might get 5 instances . Ask your work what you perameter is. You will still follow the absence process and remember its not them deciding if you are sick they are managing your time away from work and if you cant consistantly go to work then they can and will dismiss you. A union can make sure you put a good case forward or an employee representative but ultimately you still may be dismissed as i was in february and although i was gutted it was the right thing from the employers perspective
They can't just sack you . If your illness is under disability theees nothing they can do they should also ask if it's a reoccurring issue and you need to be upfront with them . You need to go in fully prepared and don't worry
