I Can Often Sleep For 12-15hrs Is This Part Of Fibro???

I can often sleep for 12-15hrs. I'm sure my medication plays a part (tramadol pregabalin amytriptilyne citalopram nabumetone co codamol) does anyone else sleep this long? I wake a lot in the night with pain or stress. By the time I am out of bed it is almost getting dark which Is very depressing.

I sleep 10-12 hours normally and during a flare it’s all day and all night. It’s so frustrating being constantly exhausted.

Hi Lisa ... my response would be a yes and a no. When I have researched Fibromyalgia, I have found that one of the chief symptoms (other than widespread pain) is extreme fatigue. Sometimes I can tell a flare is coming on because I get up in the morning at about 6:30, feed the dog, make a pot of coffee, sit down in the recliner and I'm sound asleep before I even have my first cup! Then either later that day or the next, I will be in widespread pain etc etc. On the other note though, many of the drugs that docs give you to combat the symptoms of Fibro do have the side effects of drowsiness.
I personally hate to sleep my day away (in spite of what hubby suggests I do). So what I have found to be good for me is I'll set the alarm on my phone. My husband works nights so I'll come out to the recliner to take mini-naps throughout the day/evening. I won't allow myself to sleep more than an hour nap at a time. When the alarm goes off, I'll get up, let the dog out, maybe grab that coffee I didn't get earlier, make my breakfast/lunch and perhaps take a shower. This way I haven't slept for 10-12-14 hrs during the day to where I can't get any sleep at night. If there is a certain pill that you take just once a day that seems to make you drowsy, ask your doc if you can take it in the evenings so you can benefit from the sleepy affect. I hope some of the suggestions helps and you can get more sleep at night and less during the daylight times.
Blessings! Deb

It probably does have a lot to do with meds. I'm doing good if I get 8 hours.
