I cut my lyrica from 200mg to 50mg and started to feel very sick and had stomach pains this went on for a couple of weeks and went away when I put the dose back to 300 but I want to stop them

I was put on Lyrica by my dr. and had severe diarrhea for two weeks, but gained 20 pounds. They took me off of that and put me on Cymbalta and the same thing happened. They did some tests and found out I cannot take SSRI medications! However the 40 pounds never came back off. I don't know why the weight stayed on especially after living in my bathroom for a month. I hardly ate anything because of the bathroom situation. My husband was calling the doctor and they wanted me to stay on it for two weeks and see if the results would calm down. However I wasn't getting any sleep and was exhausted beyond as well as I was in severe pain all over especially my stomach. I am on Gabapentin which helps my peripheral neuropathy. Hugs and prayers. God bless.

When I stopped my meds. I did it with my Dr.s help. You have to slowly ween off them. I m glad I did. I don't feel as spacey . be careful and get some help. It took about a month for me .

Sounds like withdrawl symptoms. Gabapentin, lyrical, and Cymbalta have hellish withdrawals. Some say worse than opioids. Sorry you are going through this. 😢

I had to go off lyrica after six years of thinking I had found my miracle drug. The dude effects became unbearable. The withdrawal is horrendous. It takes quite awhile to get off of it. Only do it under medical supervision. I don’t think the doctors even know at this point how slowly to do it. I was on 300. Of course I wAnted to get off it ASAP so I wasn’t iwn worst
