Vibration Therapy
Does anybody have any experience of vibrating plates or handheld massagers (not the pleasure toys) for muscle pain. Are they any good?, do they work?, it was mentioned to me as the morphine just doesnt work anymore neither does a tens machine.
@A MyFibroTeam Member have you tried soaking in Epsom salt w baking soda? When I first started it, I soaked up to 3 times a day. It draws out the soreness. Its not a right away thing. Also I'm finding acupuncture help a lot as well.
I used to bath in the Epson Salts but have found rubbing magnesium oil on specific areas to be more effective. You can make your own magnesium oil quite easily. Just google, how to make magnesium oil.
Thanks everyone for your personal experiences, i read that some doctors are getting results using vibrating orbs so i ordered one. They are relatively inexpensive and i am taking up to seven morphine tablets on a bad day along with the other medication i have to take and they only take the edge off. @A MyFibroTeam Member i used to train using a punchbag full of sand as well and my hands are wrecked as well, tendon and nerve damage and arthritis in both. It isnt fun, i soak my hands in very very hot water it seems to help but is painful but brings relief. Thank you all and god bless.
Yes but I buy thr magnesium crystals because Epson Salts is so expensive.
Rick47 I have found going from hot water to cold water and back helps as well. Though many suggest going in a warm pool, I found going in a pool a bit on the cool side helped me. I worked up to staying in the pool for an hour and it really made a difference. It is so much hit and miss to find what helps and what doesn’t. I am always experimenting. That has backfired a few times but in the long run I have made some positive progress. Good luck!
My Body Sometimes Vibrates - Similar To The Feeling When I Have Stayed Up All Night Before Fibro. It’s Debilitating.
