Anyone Use A Pain Clinic ??

Not getting anywhere with GP or rhemutologist..... wondering if the pain clinic would be able to help with the chronic daily pain and fatigue?

@A MyFibroTeam Member. I did not go thru all of those hoops in florida. I just had my medical records sent to the new pain doctor and then she excepted me. I had a pee test the first visit and I let her know that I quit smoking pot 7 months earlier. It was still in my system. she just told me the next pee test the level had to go down so she knew i was not smoking it anymore. I have been with her for 3 or 4 years now and just had to do a pee test again this week. I guess every state and doctor is different. but know that you will be drug tested randomly. good luck with finding a good doctor. hugs.

Yes. A pain management dictor will help you with your pain. My primary used to give me pres for pain meds but they had to stop and refer me to pain doctor. I found a good doctor and i hope you do to. Good luck.

Thank you all for your responses! Went to pain clinic today and they will not prescribe anything for the pain, nothing stronger than I am taking. He was very understanding and knowledgeable and did give me steroid injections to the three trigger points in my back and neck and prescribed pain patches for the sternum and rib pain. Feeling optimistic 😃

@A MyFibroTeam Member, there is a women’s hospital at UC San Diego that treat women with chronic pain plus many other women’s issues.
Hope that helps! ❤️

@A MyFibroTeam Member - I have been going to the Pain Management Center since last Aug. My doctor knew nothing about Fibro. Since going to the Pain Management Center I now use a Pain Patch on my arm, I have a prescription for Tramadol (which I do not need). The patch really works. These PCP do not even care to treat patients with Fibro. Kathy - - do yourself a favor - if you have a PM near you - - try going there. All they deal with is managing pain.

THOUGHT FOR TODAY With God all things are possible.
