Can Anyone Recommend A Good Matress Type For Fibromyalgia?
We will be purchasing a new matress soon. Ours is about 10 years old and sagging all over the place. We tried flipping it and it wasn't much better.I'm sure it is not helping with my neck, shoulder, migraines and tmj. Also what type of pillows do you find most helpful? Thanks in advance for any answers. Hugs.πβ€π
Look up the cuddle ewe. It goes on top of mattress. Especially for Fibromyalgia and the u-shaped pillow. As for pillows, I use a pillow for neck problems on Amazon. I have had two neck fusions and this helps a lot. Hope this helpsππ
We just got a Stearns and Foster luxury firm inner spring with memory foam and gel top with adjustable base from JCP during President Day Sale. Only way we could afford it! A friend got the medium firm. WHAT A LIFE SAVER!! I can stay in one position for a much longer time and am sleeping through the night. Still FM pains but i am functioning much better!
We recently got the purple mattress adjustable bed. I highly recommend it. With it and my electric blanket I can get some relief each day.
I find that the memory foam with gel topper has really helped me, particularly when I'm in a lot of pain. It gives you support & it conforms to your body gently so as not to hurt you. I haven't found any pillow that helps my neck problems yet but the topper is great. You can buy it at Costco for under 200.00. I also have heard a lot of good things about bed in a box which you can order online for very reasonable prices. My daughter who also suffers from fibro bought one & she swears by it. I hope this helps.
I use the sleep number bed and you can buy it on layaway and pay it off in 6 months, or if your credit is good and mine is not you can get it right away from financing but then you have the interest to worry about. Also, I was told by other Fibro buddies that the Latex mattress is extremely comfortable and it does not cost as much as other choices.I may try the U shaped pillow the Fibronet mentioned, cut my head and neck have been okay with a heavy pillow and a soft pillow together but not right on top of eachother.
