My Dr gave me lyrica after taking me off nueronton. The lyrica works fantastic. Sometimes they ache, vicks works great.

Potassium, lack of adequate amount, causes cramping. My Dr gave me a supplement for that.

I too, think magnesium plays a part in it so I take low dose of it.

I also take tramadol. It's great for the nerve muscle pain that combines well with lyrica to lesson pain from fibro. The nerves and muscles pain calm down.

Ppl without this disease have no concept of the issues we have. I just ignore them. Trying to educate them is unsuccessfull and frustrating.

Hoping this is helpful. I've have had fibro for over 20 years.

Has anyone read any of the resources available to this blog. They have an awful lot of very good information. A lot of it is specifically directed to our questions. Although, I enjoy hearing from each one of you so I can get to know you all. Share your pain, troubles and tid bits of solutions. I Hope this gets put up for you to read since I didn't name anyone specific.

I have leg pain and have had it since I was a child. Heat from a heated throw helps, a warm bath with Epsom salts, and aspercream, Salonpas, or Bengay right after help. Then jump in bed with throw. I am currently using a new drug for me, Metanx for neuropathy.

I used to take Tramadol, but our state has cracked down on its use. However, my dog gets it for his arthritis, no questions asked. Hmmm! I am not saying anything.

On the other hand, I have to go to pain management for my pain meds.

I do have to say doctors perception of fibromyalgia has changed since the 80's. Having been in the medical field for 25 years most doctors in the 90's thought it was a mental issue. Of course, a good antidepressant does not hurt the situation.

Hope this helps and God Bless you!
