Teeth Extractions And Healing, How Long Did It Take You To Heal?

A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭

I feel embarrassed about this but I had my top teeth that were remaining removed and we put in dentures right away but they hurt way too bad and I was bleeding too much. Dentist told me to keep them out for now. I go back tomorrow and I tried putting the top plate in my mouth but it hurts far too much. Has this happened to anyone?

I had perfect teeth all my life until 4 black spots showed up on my xrays. 2 months later there were 12 spots. They were eating away at my gum line. Unfortunately i had them all taken out about 9 years ago. I went to get my dentures about 6 weeks later but they fell out by the next day. The dentist said to wait till the swelling went down completely and come back. I went 10 months without teeth but my dentures fit perfect still after all these years. I went back for 1 minor adjustment and never been back since. I know it was hard going that long without teeth but it was so worth it. Good luck and be patient.

I had 14 teeth pulled all in one visit and dentures put in. I felt horrible afterwards. It does take a long while to completely heal. Months. Probably close to a year. they'll feel better before than. Each week should get better and better. I went back to work 4 days after. I was miserable, but I had to get back to work. Hope you feel better.
