I have never used Doxepin. Like you, staying sleep is a big challenge due to pain. My doctor put me on Seroquel. It does help.

Ive been on ambien for years, but since the fda cut the recommended dosage for women to 5mg, by itself its not working for me. Have to take it on a very empty stomache with xtra muscle relaxers, melatonin, n benedryl for it to work. The only other one I tried was lunesta, n that didnt work for me. Gonna have to ask my dr about doxepin.
